The Andalusian, or Pura Raza Española (PRE), is a historic Spanish horse breed renowned for its elegance, versatility, and athleticism. Originating from the Iberian Peninsula, these horses have been carefully refined since the 16th century, combining beauty with strength for use in warfare, bullfighting, and classical dressage. Known for their expressive movements, intelligence, and strong connection with their riders, Andalusians have become stars in film, equestrian performances, and competitive disciplines worldwide. They are most commonly found in gray and bay colors and typically stand between 15 and 17 hands. Today, the breed remains a global icon of equestrian culture, admired for its rich history, noble temperament, and striking presence.
