About The Breed
The Noriker is one of the oldest draft horse breeds in Europe, originating from the Roman province of Noricum, which largely corresponds to modern-day Austria. These horses are known for their gentle temperament, versatility, and distinctive coat colors, ranging from solid to various patterns. Traditionally used for agricultural work, transporting goods, and participating in parades, Norikers are medium-sized, strong horses that excel in various equestrian disciplines. Today, the breed is listed as endangered.
